This video by far was the most impressive to me this month, this guy covers a bit of everything, from some advanced mechanical design, to image analysis even doing a lot of the same software things we do with our IF/RCO software: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miRnNy7ZvIc
This article is not so much hard technical as in things, but rather one person’s view on how to see personal growth though a few metrics and thought it was an interesting take on how to gauge personal growth/development https://huyenchip.com/2024/04/17/personal-growth.html
The latest Steve Mould video doesn’t disappoint with a cool demonstration of fuel/air mixture, reminds me of the clear tubing/butane torch demonstations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqhXQUzVMlQ
Finally this is a neat project, it’s a microscope setup that uses Infra-Red light to inspect computer chips, it has two axis of freedom for controlling the light allowing for better adjustment to get good visibility https://www.bunniestudios.com/blog/2024/a-2-axis-multihead-light-positioner/ This blog is by Andrew “Bunnie” Haung who’s done a ton of cool reverse engineering projects over the years, and is a huge proponent of open source hardware.
So a bit ago I had this idea for a cool swag item for outpost, based on this ( see picture below) this is a ruler that Digi-Key has that’s covered front/back with various formulars, facts, diagrams, etc. I think it would be cool for us to make something like this but for outpost. The Digi-Key one is focused on electronics, however there’s are a few provisions for other disciples such as the holes on the right side used to identify many standard fasteners.
