- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrocytwdeEY Tech Ingredients is an interesting youtube channel that covers a wide array of science topics, this one seemed especially fitting as it covers lasers, drone detection and AI algorithms.
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzF4t6Ysp_4 This is a neat video showing the process of making a self balancing bicycle, I think one of the key points to take away from this isn’t so much the small technical bits, but rather the willingness to totally change approach of solving the problem and not being married to the first plan when its shown to not be feasible.
- https://ciechanow.ski/moon/ Bartosz Ciechanowski has a really amazing website that I highly recommend click on the “Archives” button at the top of the page to see his previous articles they are informative with great interactive elements, and this new one from him is no exception as it goes into great detail on the Moon and much about it you’ve probably never thought about before. Be forewarned this is a long one.
Book of the month
- McMaster Carr Catalog, by McMaster Carr. So this is a bit of a weird one, certainly different than most book recommendations, however I think it’s worth talking about. McMaster Carr is a website that sells a huge variety of Hardware everything from bare stock to small screws. The reason I recommend this book, is it’s a fantastic source of ideas as far as hardware components that you may not have realized existed. Their website has everything thats in the book, however it’s so much quicker to flip though the book and see various things that you may not be aware of. There are a couple floating around the office I believe, I think Josh has one in his office if you want to check it out.
