https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_HARP Out at YPG where we are alot there is one of the HARP guns which is an interesting cannon, back in the 60’s it was used for research into re-entry vehicles, they would launch a roughly 1,000lb shell nearly 100miles into the air to study it.
